Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in the borough of Queens in New York . It was one of five children of Mary Anne MacLeod andFred Trump , who married in 1936. His older brother, Fred, died in 1981 at age 43. His mother was a Scottish immigrant, born on the island of Lewis , in the north of the Outer Hebrides , and his paternal grandparents were German immigrants .

His grandfather, Frederick Trump (born Friedrich Drumpf), arrived from Germany to the United States in 1885, and acquired citizenship in 1892. He married grandmother Donald, Elisabeth Christ  in Kallstadt , which at that time belonged to the Kingdom of Bavaria (since August 30, 1946: Rhineland-Palatinate ) in Germany , on August 26, 1902. They had three children.

While living in Jamaica Estates , he went to the Kew-Forest School in Forest Hills, Queens , along with some of his brothers. At age 13, after having behavior problems that led to his departure from school, his parents sent him to the Military Academy in New York (Nyma). Trump went to Fordham University in the Bronx for two years, but went to the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania , because Wharton was one of the few programs dedicated to real estate. graduated in 1968 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Economics and Anthropology.
